These ruggedly built instruments mechanically detect the liquid level in tanks and vessels and activate internal switches to provide On-Off level control. Most units can be configured with single or dual switch stations. Three types of switches are available in selected combinations for each model:
Enclosures are heavy cast aluminum with several NEMA ratings for explosion-proof and vapor-proof service.
Designed for open tanks, or for closed vessels where top access for float clearance is available. Connection is 1" NPT. Maximum insertion depth is 132". Switching differential adjustable from 1/2" to 3 1/2".
Side mounted model for specialty applications such as industrial boilers, vapor degreasers, deaerators, etc. Single switching station only. Side and bottom process connections are 1" NPT. Switching differential adjustable from 3/4" to 1 1/2".
Side mounted unit for use where top access is not practical, and where liquid turbulence and agitation is present. Side and bottom process connections are 1" NPT. Switching differential adjustable from 1/2" to 3 1/2".
Well suited for liquids under conditions of turbulence or agitation. Switching differentials are relatively wide, and can be changed in the field by repositioning the porcelain displacers along the stainless steel cable. Differentials range from 4" to full cable length (10 ft. cable is standard).
Similar to SL-400 except displacers are made of impervious graphite, and there are three switching stations, each with a single mercury switch.
Side mounted at point where liquid level is to be controlled. Elliptical float facilitates installation through small openings. Increasing the float rod length extends the switching differential up to 15", as compared to 3 1/2" maximum for other float-actuated models.
